Earlier, four airstrikes targeted weapons depots and military vehicles belonging to Yemen’s Houthi group at the Central Security Camp in Al-Bayda province, Al-Jumhuriya TV reported on Wednesday, citing field sources. The broadcaster provided no details on casualties or the extent of the damage, and the party responsible for the attack remained unidentified.
The Houthis control most of Al-Bayda, a strategically important province in central Yemen that borders eight others.
Al-Jumhuriya TV also reported that Houthi missile shelling targeted the vicinity of Al-Allala military camp in Qatabah district, in northern Al-Dhalea governorate, with reports of deaths and injuries among recruits.
Separately, Aden TV reported that an ambush killed or wounded Houthi fighters during an attempted infiltration in the Al-Aqroud area, south of Taiz. The broadcaster also said artillery belonging to the armed forces targeted Houthi positions on the fronts in Marib.
In another development, Aden TV reported that the Houthis targeted a prison at the Iron Factory in Lahj province with a ballistic missile. It said there were reports of deaths and injuries among detainees inside the prison.

Since October 5, Yemeni government forces have been conducting an operation dubbed “Dawn of Yemen,” aimed at regaining control of state institutions and retaking the capital, Sanaa, from the group.
Fighting between the two sides resumed in July, killing and wounding thousands and displacing more than 250,000 people, according to United Nations reports. The renewed fighting ended a period of relative calm that had prevailed since April 2022, while worsening Yemen’s humanitarian crisis amid continued conflict and displacement.
Yemen has been mired in civil war since the Houthis seized Sanaa and several provinces in September 2014, prompting a Saudi-led coalition to intervene in March 2015 in support of the internationally recognised government.
