Nissan Armada Jungle Patrol concept

Each year, the SEMA show in Las Vegas allows automakers to let their creativity shine through custom concepts based on production vehicles. In 2025, Nissan turned its full-size Armada SUV into the desert-ready Dune Patrol, adding a long-travel suspension, unique bumpers, and a durable roof rack. Now, for 2026, Nissan has modified the Armada once again, this time transforming it into the Jungle Patrol, ripping off the roof to make the SUV into the ideal safari companion.

The Armada Jungle Patrol’s biggest change is, obviously, the lack of a roof, with the solid shelter replaced by a tubular roll cage, providing a better view of the natural world you’re exploring. Just be ready to speed away if a lion gets a little too curious about the tasty treats sitting inside. The rear section has been fitted with inward-facing bench seats, a common setup in safari vehicles.

Nissan also upgraded the Armada to tackle more serious terrain. The Jungle Patrol rides on prototype 18-inch NISMO wheels wrapped in 37-inch Yokohama Geolandar G003 M/T tires, which are suspended on a custom long-travel setup from CJD Racing. The setup utilizes high-performance adjustable coil-overs with remote reservoirs and bypass, and the Jungle Patrol has a wider track than the regular Armada.

The Jungle Patrol is also equipped with custom steel bumpers and fender flares, and there are NISMO off-road lights mounted on the bumper and roof to illuminate the jungle at night. Nissan caps off the look with a unique livery, which reads “Jungle Patrol” in a scrawled font and features what look like the claw marks of some intimidating jungle beast down the rear doors.

As with the Desert Patrol last year, Nissan has left the standard 425-hp twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 engine untouched but added a custom NISMO cat-back exhaust. While the Armada Jungle Patrol is a fun experiment, we assume it will never enter production given its extreme mission, but some features, like the prototype wheels and custom bumpers, could one day be offered as official NISMO aftermarket parts.
