SEOUL, Nov. 2 (Yonhap) -- K-pop supergroup BTS' recent Latin American tour drew some 853,000 fans across 14 sold-out concerts, the group's agency said Monday.

The tour began in Bogota last month and continued across Lima, Santiago, Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo, according to Big Hit Music.

The members were quoted as saying they were "immensely touched" by the support they received in the region and hoped to return soon, describing the tour as one of their happiest memories.

During the tour, BTS held its first full-group concerts in Colombia and Buenos Aires, and visited Lima for the first time since the group's debut.

The concerts in Santiago and Sao Paulo marked the group's first performances in the countries in nine and seven years, respectively.

The tour also boosted the local economies, across the areas of tourism, transportation and accommodation, Big Hit said.

BTS will next perform in the southern Taiwanese city of Kaohsiung on Nov. 19 as part of its world tour, followed by stops in cities that include Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta and Sydney.
