The Madlanga Commission says North-West businessman Suliman Carrim has failed to comply with a bail condition requiring him to report to the Commission within 48 hours.
One of Carrim’s bail conditions, set by the Pretoria Magistrates’ Court, requires him to make arrangements with the Madlanga Commission for his next appearance.
Commission spokesperson Jeremy Michaels says Carrim’s attorneys only brought the court judgment to the Commission’s attention without making the necessary arrangements for his appearance.
Michaels says the bail condition required Carrim’s attorneys to take the initiative and report to the Commission in person.
Carrim was granted R100 000 bail on Wednesday after being charged with contempt.
