From a severed hand to a human-sized worm, German supermodel Heidi Klum has become famous for her spectacular Halloween costumes.
When it comes to over-the-top, visually shocking Halloween costumes, no one does it better than German-American model, actor and businesswoman Heidi Klum.
Among Germany's most famous celebrities on the world stage, Klum was born and raised in Bergisch Gladbach, near to near Cologne.
She was discovered after winning a modelling contest called "Model 92", and quickly achieved rockstar success in the industry before moving on to other ventures, such as producing TV shows, designing clothes and launching businesses.
In recent years, however, the supermodel has earned a reputation for looks that are far from those that would be seen on the runway or magazine covers.
Here's a look of some of Heidi Klum's most jaw-dropping Halloween costumes in recent years.

This year, Klum dressed up as her own severed left hand.
Asked about her inspiration for this year's transformation, Klum was reported to have said, "I looked at my hand and thought, 'How can I squeeze my body into this hand?'"
Klum's costumes have become more fantastical and awe-inspiring through the years, and they often also involve other members of her family.
Above she is seen as Medea, posing with her husband Tom Kaulitz, who is dressed as a knight turned to stone.
The year before, in 2024, Klum and her husband were seen as ET style aliens.
The professional prosthetics designer who worked on Klum's ET look, previously said that preparing the couple's costume required a team of 30 people who worked for nine months, including all aspects of the planning and execution.

Previous Halloweens saw the pair dressed as everything from a worm on a fishing line to a peacock with an egg to Shrek and Fiona from the hit animated movie.
From the stunning to the grotesque, Klum's costumes are always imaginative.
One decade ago she appeared as herself "cloned", seen below along with four other models dressed as herself.
The star has also been known to show off fantastical transformations at the Met Gala in New York, including this year and the year before.
Klum notoriously keeps her costumes secret until they are revealed on Halloween. Whatever is to come for next year, it is sure not to disappoint.
