The government will use the 2027 Budget to turn Ghana’s economic stability into jobs, productive investment, and improved living standards, Deputy Finance Minister Thomas Nyarko Ampem said.
Speaking at the Ghana Statistical Service’s Ghana Numbers, 2025 programme, Mr Ampem indicated that the budget would likely be themed “Moving Ghana from Stability to New Economy”.
He said the proposed direction reflected progress in stabilising the economy, with growth figures and other macroeconomic indicators improving.
“These developments are evident when it comes to the current growth numbers and macroeconomic indicators,” he said.
Mr Ampem said the government had also made significant progress in restoring fiscal discipline.
He said the Finance Minister would seek to ensure these gains translate into tangible benefits for Ghanaians through employment, investment, and better living conditions.
He added that the budget would advance the next phase of the government’s economic agenda.
Mr Ampem also announced that the government would present the 2027 Budget and Economic Policy to Parliament on November 12, 2026.
The November presentation will allow time for parliamentary scrutiny, debate and approval before the start of the 2027 financial year.
