The case against businessman Lawrence Mudzinganyama, accused of intimidating women at a Johannesburg restaurant, is expected back in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court next Friday.

This is for the outcome of the representations the accused made to the Gauteng Director of Public Prosecutions.

The accused faces multiple charges including three counts of intimidation, three of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm, and one count of fraud.

The charges stem from an incident at Vlamo Restaurant in Randburg last month where the accused allegedly entered the women’s restroom and demanded to take photographs of one of the witnesses.

It is alleged he further threatened three witnesses with violence and death and also insulted them.

He was arrested on 20th September and released on warning on a charge of intimidation. However, following further investigations, which included obtaining witness statements and securing video footage, the State added further charges against him.
