A 23-year-old woman has been arrested following a robbery of an e-hailing driver that was captured on a dashcam.
Police says the e-hailing driver was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash in Hillbrow, Johannesburg on Friday.
Gauteng police spokesperson Tintswalo Sibeko explains: “The victim subsequently came forward and opened a case of robbery with the police. The Hillbrow Acting Station Commander Colonel Marite established a task team to investigate robberies within the Hillbrow policing precinct and ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice. Police are still searching for two additional suspects believed to be involved in the robbery. The arrested suspect is expected to appear before the Hillbrow Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 2 November 2026. Investigations are ongoing.”
