Umkhonto we Sizwe party leader Jacob Zuma says they are ready to take over South Africa.

Zuma has attended the party’s final election rally at Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu, north of Durban, telling supporters his party was the only one that fights for the freedom of Black South Africans.

He’s urged citizens to vote for the party in Wednesday’s local government elections.

This is Zuma’s first public appearance since he was hospitalised last month.

He also sang struggle songs along with the crowd. The MK Party is contesting its first local government elections since its formation in December 2023.

Supporters filled the 12 000-capacity stadium.

Meanwhile, Zuma has dismissed reports that he was in critical health, attributing such claims to people spreading political propaganda.
